Light Breeds
Light Breeds are horses horses used for riding, that are "light" in build. Every show association is a little different. Before submitting any entries to a show be sure to know what qualifies in their eyes as a Light Breed. I think this division is one of the most controversial. Many times Arabians will have their own divisions, and I have seen National Show Horses from any where from Light Breeds, to Gaited breeds, to Part breeds or Pure breeds. For the convenience of my site I label the light breeds as the following:
