Quarter Horses
The Quarter horse was developed in American during Colonial times, and was named as such for being the fastest horse for 1/4 miles. Today the horse excels in may disciplines across the board - from working cattle, to jumping to dressage and driving.

ColorsQuarter Horses can be just about any color.. black, bay, brown, roan, buckskin, dun, gray, grullo, perlino, smoky cream, chestnut, cremello, palomino, red dun, sorrel, or white.
They must not have white markings beyond their ears/jaw or 3 inches or so above their knees and hocks. Helpful Links
